First Stipend Awarded to Law Student Kendra J. Muller

Howard Maycon (Office Managing Partner – Los Angeles) and Kevin Bush (Vice Chair, Subrogation & Recovery, West Region) award the firm supported Disabilityrightsnow.com first stipend to 3rd year law student Kendra J. Muller to pay for her bar review course.

Kendra received the award based on her work with DRN and the Different Abilities Group subcommittee of the San Diego County Bar Association on addressing the lack of handicap accessible bathrooms in the Schwartz Courthouse and also drafting proposed legislation/regulations and training guidelines for airline personnel to minimize airline damage to assist devices. Senator Feinstein’s office is seeking funding 2022 so the build out of the accessible bathrooms happens in 2023 at the Schwarz courthouse and is in discussions with her Senate colleagues on addressing damage to assist devices as drafted by Kendra.
